Would anyone know the torque specs and even the bolt size to attach these bars on the cross member?

24 ft/lbs is what I've seen floating around in the cat cover threads.

What do those support braces do anyways? Just reinforces the frame to not twist and turn so much? I know there's the engine cross member and transmission cross member to support the weight of those two parts but I was curious what these did when I was installing my cat shield.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
They are put there by the Taco gods for us not to question. 25-30 shows up. I torqued them to 27.5, was indecisive.

I think I torqued to 24 ft lbs when I installed my cat shield. But I re-used the oem bolts on the cross members.

From the new car features document Toyota says: "A front suspension member bracket has been adopted between the inner front side rail channel sub-assembly and the No. 3 frame crossmember sub-assembly for ensuring the frame rigidity and driving stability."

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Tighten it until it strips, then back off one half turn.
