Kitsap Tacoma Owners I Need Your Help!

Hey guys, I am in the process of designing and 3D printing gas cap holders for 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas. I know there are other gas cap holders in the market, but I am trying to make mine better than whats available out there.

I have a 2nd Gen Tacoma and the Gas Cap Holder I designed fits on my truck, but does it fit on all 2nd Gen Tacomas? I would like to test fit it on other Tacoma before I try on selling them to ensure that it will fit the customers gas cap cover. Similair situation for the 3rd Gen Tacomas.

So if you could spare some time to let me test fit my product on your 2nd or 3rd Gen it would be greatly appreciated and let you keep it! NO DRILLING OR PERMANENT MODIFICATION REQUIRED FOR INSTALL. The gas cap holder is held in place by an existing screw.

No idea about T4Rs, but all Gen3 Tacomas come with gas cap holders.

 

Oh shoot. Do 4Runners run the same gas cover?

 

I was not aware that all 3rd gens com with gas cap holders. My buddy just bot a 3rd gen and his did not come with one.

People call the fuel door clip the gas cap holder, but yours looks far better than most options out there. You should call it the TRD Glory Hole, it'll sell millions. If I was still living in Kitsap, I'd help out, but I moved across the mountains and already have one I bought from somewhere last year.

 

Nothing wrong using the clip. Just giving people another option.

They are talking about the clip. I think the clip does the job, but I constantly had the plastic retaining line getting pulled out of the fuel door every time I tried to hook it to the clip. I like the gas hole.

 

Same here. I am almost at the point of cutting it off b/c the plug where it mounts into the cover has some how bent 90 degrees, and since I have a supper awesome cap holder it wouldn't be a loss!

 

Minor variation. Using the other hole.
