Bright lights quit working, bulbs are good, can make them come on with power probe. Could it be the switch in the column or is it a short and where is there a common place for a short?

    Thank you

Is this for your '97? If the filament is intact and you can get highbeam filament to energize, then check the fuse box. There ahould be a 10Amp fuse for the highbeam circuit. If the fuse is blown, you may have a short circuit somewhere in the wire harness. Either from chafing, or animals chewing on the insulation.

Welcome to the forum. If your fuse is good (double check by swapping, not just visual) then I’d look at your high beam relay. At 26 yrs old a relay failure would not be uncommon.
