Saw a guy on fb working on his '95 regular cab, and it had a panel for behind the seats up to the back glass that was carpeted. I know that panel is non-existent for purchase. But would getting carpet for an extra cab work? Use some form of interior plastic anchor and just let it run up the back wall?

i have a 2000 the carpet is only on the floor nothing up the back.

Your gonna need to source your own carpet I doubt it would be high enough unless that does not matter!

Carpet up the back is a formed piece, it’s fitted to the back wall and that crossmember. Hardest part I think is going to be getting it to fit tight. If I didn’t have the factory stuff, I’d probably sound deaden it and then find the lightest weight fabric I could to glue up.

OP is wanting to use the extended cab carpet on a regular cab.

If factory carpet did cover the rear of the cab to the window . Mine had been removed before I bought the truck.

From all sources that I've tried, minus the dealer, it is no longer available. Dealers are a crap shoot because most of the time if you don't have the part number they really don't want to waste time trying to look it up. A lot of enthusiasts will do that just to get the part number and go elsewhere to order it.

I was just curious if anyone knew if it would work. I'm close to having to order a new carpet and if the extra cab will cover a majority of the back wall, I'll spend the little extra for it.

image4 (2).jpg image5 (2).jpg The driving reason behind this is my cab is leaking rainwater from somewhere under the dash and soaking the driver's floorboard. This is on my little 5-lug above, and I'm running my head into a wall trying to figure it out...it's either around the gromet or where I mounted hood struts. I've flex-sealed over the hood strut mount and still have water coming in. Any insight to that would help too.

    I'm hijacking my own thread.....
