I’m trying to salvage a botched up engine overhaul and at the moment after tons of weekend jobs I’m finally plugging in all the electrical stuff

Now I’m stuck where the wire connecting to the starter has two terminal and I got one plugged for the starter but now I have another one where I can’t figure out where it goes

This might be a dumb thing since i was probably over looking it since it was dark but here ya go

Now sorry if the photo isn’t the best the mosquitoes were annoying

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Looks like The positive cable from the battery . There should be a stud on the starter solenoid with a nut

    Double check with your meter.

Didn’t get to work much on the truck today but here a better look because from what I know it’s only one cable to the starter but then that just leave the other cable just hanging around and unfortunately my meter left it at my house I’m currently working on the truck at my family since its was my dad

Yea one is a connector and the other is from the battery so I believe I got the starter wire plugged correctly but then I’m left with one terminal wire just hanging about and I don’t see where it it would go into

**Perhaps the positive battery cable was replaced and the old one was just left hanging.

The lug with the 2 ears looks like factory the ears keep the lug from turning when tightened

where does the hanging cable go to??

Looking around the battery any cut off cables ??

Figured it out a while ago but just in case there anyone else like me who was overthinking the flat terminal is ground and the one with teeth is what plugs to the starter

It’s best to try and bolt ground to something other then the engine since I had spark and smoke the first time I did it and it what caused me to overthink :jpow:
