    Hi everyone!!
I'm a newbie so please be easy on me.

I have scoured a lot of pages here on TW regarding lowering but still need to ask
    some ?'s.

I just bought a new 2023 Tacoma SR Access Cab 2wd/RWD, 4cyl Automatic in MGM color with just the utility package. Pretty bare bones.
Only has about 200 miles on it so far.

It is a lot higher than my old 2007 Tacoma.

I would like to lower it a bit.
I have already installed some lowered steps but still need it a bit lower.

I was thinking of getting the SOS Performance lowering kit but instead of the 2"/3.5", I was thinking of getting the 2"/2.75" so I won't worry about bottoming out in the rear as much when I need to haul heavier loads -- such as fire wood. I would probably make more trips with lighter loads just to be safe.
And, I wouldn't mind the look of having a slight rake still.

Those of you who have SOS kit installed..........
After having it done and driving around for awhile, have you had any problems??
    Any bottoming out problems??

I've also read about the angles and cv joints and "shuddering" problems.
Not quite sure what all that stuff is.
Does it really mess all that stuff up??

Any problems with the front suspension bottoming out or rubbing issues??
Will have to stay with the stock wheels/tires for now.

Also, was it a big deal to move the tail pipe hanger??

I just don't want any problems since it is a brand new truck.
I know it would probably take it out of warranty but if it is a solid kit that wouldn't cause
any problems, I'm willing to do it.

I would purchase the kit and take it to a shop that was recommended by a neighbor/friend where he gets his truck all fixed up with lift kits, lights, etc.

Any input would be most appreciated.

    THANK YOU!!!

I don't have any experience with that kit, but it does come with new bump stops that look like they should prevent the bottoming out issue. You're best bet would be to contact SOS and ask them your questions. There's also a subforum for lowered trucks, so you could try asking there too. https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/street-trucks.70/
