Anyone have an issue with the outside temp gauge being off? I’ve noticed the temp reading around 20 degrees higher than the actual outside temp the last couple days. Truck is always parked outside.

    In the summer, yes.
Mine will read 20-30 degrees warmer until I drive the truck.
Then it will come back down correct temperature.

Sitting still allows reflective heat from the ground surface to be what's read. Get it moving and it should adjust to ambient.

If it doesn't, sometimes stuff just fails. :notsure:

    That is not normal.
The sensor could be bad, or the connection could be bad.
I’d say it operates of resistance, so who knows?

This is for an 09 I'd Imagine 08 to be the same.

That calibration tolerance is terrible LOL, no wonder it can be off 20 degrees. Fortunately it's an RTD so the scale is fairly linear for the usable range so if you are really that anal you can calculate the offset and wire in a resistor to zero out the error.
