Head over to Tundras.com. There's a plethora of information over there and a lot of crossover members to this forum as many have Tacomas and Tundras. Since I'm in a helping mood, there's also a whole forum dedicated to long travel suspension. Best of luck!

I’m in the market for a 2005-6 4wd double cab tundra to build myself.

Solo Motorsports built a previous T100 for me, and I’m very familiar with the quality of their work and kits.

Their Tundra 4wd long travel kit is one of the nicest available IMO, and is the kit I plan to use. Steering however is, and will continue to be, the weak point on these trucks. Rear steer in particular is troublesome. LT and big tires will make quick hast of the rack. I haven’t found the best way to address this yet, but will likely require additional one-off fabrication.

I’m budgeting 15k for the complete front end, and close to 10k for the rear.

Good luck on your build. Please come back to Tacoma world to leave any updates or pics as you move forward.

    Cheers-

I’d go all Camburg suspension or in Total Chaos, but Camburg I liked because it’s more stout. Bilstein 8100 series coil overs with 9200 piggybacks. Kings are alright but their shafts are soft and easily pitted from rocks or sand on dunes/the desert. Fox, ADS, and Bilstein all have hardened piston shafts, so better off-road. On these 3 ride a bit stiffer but are good on road too. FiberWerX imop is the best to go with as they have the thickest material, less damage and cracking esp if you lawn dart a jump.
My old set up below. Hit me up if you have questions or need advice!2A75A7FF-5E26-40DB-8C9D-62A6D5086E1C.jpg
