Spacers or coil overs? Wish to keep softer ride. Did NOT want to spend more than 700 . Don’t off road much but will use for light farm work,Thanks

You will be abandoning a soft ride with that criteria.

My advice, which is worth about 2 cents. If the Truck has stock suspension on it right now, leave it that way. Depending on the miles, just buy some good shocks for it. You can still find Genuine Toyota front coil springs for some years, but they're not cheap.Keeping the Suspension stock means less stress on the CV axles, drive shaft, and less things to break.

If you don’t want to spend a good amount of money to do it right, I’d leave it stock. You will be sacrificing the quality of your ride with spacers

3 inches on either setup is asking for a harsh ride and cv shaft failure.

No matter what route you choose- spacers or coilovers, ultimately "lift" is achieved via increasing the preload of the spring so that the truck sits higher in the IFS geometry. If you get spacers, you don't have a chance to compensate for that at all. When you get (good) coilovers (Kings, ADS, Icon, etc..) the preload is adjustable, and the valving is more appropriate for increased preload. That's the route you want, but you're going to spend well over $700 for the front alone.

My advice is to get some Bilstein 5100s with OME coil springs on one of the lower settings and call it a day. Plenty of people go that route and the ride is more than acceptable and very affordable. That's been the goto solution for 20+ years.

This is what I did, no ragerts. Makes a lot of sense since most peoples shocks are already toast anyway. Springs too in some cases.

    4 run, 2 don't
Just keep it stock; you're getting the most supple ride possible.
