I'm sure there are many post strings on purchasing a replacement battery for your OEM stock one.....but I couldn't find any.

I'm on the hunt for a new OEM replacement battery. I do a lot of overlanding, and off grid camping...in the market for a strong dependable battery that won't break the bank. Thanks in advance!

Yep, many battery threads out there. X2 or Northstar if your bank is large. Costco Interstate if you are a member. Then you have to decide group 24 or 27, AGM or flooded. How about adding a dual battery? Many overlanders do that, or carry a battery pack.

I have a 5 year plan to purchase a van...going to Vanlife life for awhile, so I don't want to dump money into dual battery set up for my 2nd Gen. Ill probably just purchase the Costco Interstate to match my OEM battery and purchase a battery pack that can be utilized for others things that don't involve my truck and overlanding. Thanks for the advice.

Whatever jumper pack you get, make sure it’s one that’ll work. The cheap gimmicky ones are gimmicky and might work or might leave you stranded. Noco gb70 is a beast, not too heavy. Jump n carry, the big blue heavy one, a guy I work with has it, I’ve never used it but it seems to do the job. Maybe get a low voltage alarm.

Thanks for your advice. Funny you mention that......you can seriously go down the rabbit hole researching the different brands of jumper packs!!! EXHAUSTING!

I have this battery less one too, it’s very strong, tested with a amp clamp. The only bad thing is it doesn’t hold a charge at all. It needs to be charged with a running vehicle then immediately used. They claim you can charge it with a almost dead battery, then jump but I couldn’t get that to work.

Since the noco gb70 is so strong, the only time I touch this one is when the battery is completely dead. The noco will most likely do it by itself but if I use both together it cranks fast.

I also had a microstart lithium. It worked good when new but after a couple years wouldn’t take a charge. It was a Amazon counterfeit.

If you can afford it, get the gb70 from a reputable dealer. Btw, noco also makes excellent corrosion prevention felt pads, cleaner, corrosion prevention spray.

This is this one. A little cheaper, kinda heavy. I think they offer a one time deal when it’s time to replace the batteries there’s some discount involved.
