Favorite Whiskey?

The JD distillery is only 55 miles from my house. I've done the tour three times so far. I'm sure I'll do it again at some point, whenever I get visitors that want to go.

 

Anyone seeing any of these pop up around them yet? BP Wheater from HH, sign me up.

 

Hmm, just saw them a minute ago when I picked up some tequila. Didn’t pay it any attention…didn’t know what it was lol

 

Been around in VA, my buddy got one, it’s pretty good! Saw some when I was in Texas as well.

 

Ummm, yeah. Total Wine says the nearest location is in TN....

 

Well now that’s sad. Really enjoyed this bottle, it was a store pick. Another cork for the bowl.

 

PA site says “coming soon” could be tomorrow or Christmas

 

Not just a wheater, wheat whiskey. Mashbill over 50% wheat.

Seen a bunch of them around here, but I have too much on my plate already.

 

Also says “coming soon” for the HH20 and Old Fitz 19

 

I’m curious if anyone does anything special with their whiskey corks, or how they keep them when a bottle is gone. I’ve been looking into how to put my drug of choice on public display, but in a way the wife will approve.

Here is our small collection of wine corks and beer caps. I’ve been stuffing my whiskey corks into the “P” but it’s becoming harder to keep them in place.

 

When I've been to Texas I've brought back from there. Pocket size is usually 14.00, 750 is about 30, big boi is 38.00.


Side note today I saw there seems to be another Weller single barrel color. The one I saw today was a creamier orange than original orange sticker. Anyone see the new sticker?

 

Some of the photos I’ve posted, have some of art my wife has made with wine corks and bourbon bottle corks. We have a few letters like what you have, and a few big cork boards as well. The cork boards are great - one hangs in the pantry and the other is somewhere in the house …i don’t know where it’s at!

And a few pieces at the lake house as well.

How much $ was it? Maybe it was originally the darker orange, but they are asking such a ridiculous amount its sat there so long it's faded from sun exposure?!

Was a good Thursday night in the casino! Don't mind the waters. Friend used them as a chaser since he's not huge into bourbon.

The JD 10 year was fantastic. Definitely on my "to buy" list along with the 12 year.

 

I bought sort of a glass fishbowl with a screw on metal lid, put the corks in there.

 

My favorite stuff is Proper 12 Irish whiskey, but I am a fan of Windsor when the Proper is unavailable.
