    Hey guys

I just bought 5100/881 + all setup for my 1st gen, and I’m wondering if I should get new ball joints for my uca’s while I’m at it (or just replace them). They are original (306k and counting). Do they need to be replaced? Or would new ball joints do the trick?

psa- I’m considering doing LBJ’s as well, p/o told me he replaced with moog/555 right before i bought it but I keep seeing/hearing bad things online and I want my truck to be solid for as long as possible.

At 306k I'd definitely replace the control arms. Your bushings are probably toast in addition to the ball joints.
