I've dabbled in the past and was able to do pretty well with it. I'm starting off at 16/8 and will probably shift to 20/4 like I was doing before.

16-18 was my sweet spot. Over that and I ended up over eating on my meal. Good luck!

17 hours for day one wasn't bad at all. Weekends where I'm less distracted will be more difficult.
That's what I was doing when I did the 20/4 fast.

:sorry: The soup is pretty damn fine if I do say for myself, 100% scratch made, broth and all. I started with a bone from a spiral cut ham.

The problem I have always had is that I'm really good at eating... :hungry:

...and whenever you want to cut a few calories your friends, family and co-workers seem to be on a mission to feed you every 5 minutes... :help:

Someone left cake in the break room...

And we're going out tomorrow for my kid's birthday, which I suppose technically is my own fault.

    And so it begins...

"These were buy one - get one"
"I picked one up for you too"
    "These are great, try this"
"I'll never finish this, want half?"
"There is only a little left..."

These people are plotting against us...

My wife bought a small bag of chocolate covered mangos from Aldi a few weeks ago.

I bought her a... less small... bag from Costco on Wednesday. I was greeted with a "damn you".

So it goes both ways, I guess. :p

    A few.
I went back to no breakfast last summer 16:8 / 18:6 and cut out all the carbs at the same time. When your getting started I found drinking water was helpful to calm the rumbling of the stomach. After about 2 weeks of intermittent fasting I added (or subtracted, depending on how you look at it) one meal a day every other day. I was able to drop about 40lbs. in about a month and a half. I haven’t done the OMAD since November, but I’m not gaining any significant weight. I added in LMNT electrolyte supplement to keep the Na, K, & Mg levels up during the summer months and during exercise, also adds some flavor to the H2O (albeit salty as).

2.5" lift, all new chinese light plastics, led lights here and there... want to make a daily "overlander" modeled after "overland under budget"..
Yes, doing fine thanks! Its light til about 8pm now and has still been chilly with a few -20 mornings...but been busy taking advantage of light. When it starts to change up here things happen quick. I have already met with a guy to do some heavy duty land clearing with his mulcher and have been working with another guy to bring me logs for the mill. Some time soon i will start bending hoops for the green house and try to get a head start on that. And shoot i almost forgot, i brought home my 79 dodge d200 crew cab a week ago...been working out the brakes, bad master and booster. Its old but in darn good shape for a 43 yr old truck up here...6k on a rebuilt 360 to boot.20230305_170412.jpg Resized_20230310_155835.jpg
Had some tires put on the tacoma...I got to the tire shop understanding they had ko2s and ended up with some bridgestone dueler revos...turns out they didnt have my size. I was desperate, the blizzacks from the po were worn all funny from bad ball joints and i wasnt driving back to town on them. Oh well, 90% of my driving is hwy and im sure theyll do fine if i venture off the road a bit.
In other news, my dad made an offer on a place down the hwy and got it! So he'll be moving up this summer from Oregon...hes 70 yrs old and still drives long haul!, its time for him to travel for pleasure and spend the rest of his time catching fish and playing around with his jeep...maybe chase some ladies he says. At any rate it'll be good to have him up here.
