A56F096F-27EF-4186-9E47-9715A20518E5.jpg So I have a 95 Tacoma regular cab v6 I’m getting stuff together to put a supercharger on it and wanted to ask on here for peoples opinion. My truck has egr system on it. I just purchased an ecu 89661-04310 which is an ecu for a 97 with no egr. If I install this ecu do I just block off the egr and the truck thinks it never had the egr system since the ecu came from a non egr truck. Reason I want to delete egr is because I want to run 7th injector. Just trying to make sure I’m thinking correctly. Any thoughts or help is appreciated.

    You have some options depending
1st, are you in a state that testing for emissions is required?
If so you will need the EGR for emissions every two years or be able to reinstall it.
Some of the wire harnesses are not plug and play for the different ECU.
I’ve seen some people say the wire harness has to be charged or modified and some have not as each
    year the ECU was modified.
Urd does make a kit with larger injectors for this issue if I remember instead
    of a 7th injector.
You could go the haltech ECU road but it’s expensive but you get the best results and most power.. With The stock ECU the supercharged will only get you so far,
If you don’t want hot air being sucked into the supercharger or engine you can get block off plates for the EGR tube and EGR or simply disconnect the vacuum hose going to the EGR and that closes the valve and plug off that vacuum hose.
I have a 97 single cab with EGR and v6,
You should get a high flow fuel pump,
    New fuel filter,
    95-97 injectors are 240cc,
you should get at least 260cc 3.4 2004 injectors, cleaned and serviced.
Get an FMU vortech 3:1 from snpspeed
