So as many of you guys know they announced the closure of the San Bernardino National forest effective until June 30th

there is a lot of heresay, rumors and speculation around this online the point of this thread is to keep to the facts for the uniformed so if you guys have actual first hand knowledge of facts please share, not I heard from my neighbors dentists grandma…

man’s let’s try our best to keep politics out as yes we all agree it sucks and the entire fiasco has been greatly mismanaged etc

You are starting off with exactly what you requested not be done :boink:

Not following this at all. So for someone who just learned of this news, what other info do you got? Fire related? Resource related from snowmageddon?

    Enough for now
Seems odd the ban is until the very end of June. Looking to see what people on the road report back with

    Yes please!
Drove up Coxey road yesterday and passed a ranger that told us the roads close at midnight and he would be clearing them the next morning and locking gates on the forestry ones. We made it almost to Hanna flats and had to turn back due to road conditions. We got to test all our recovery gear several times before throwing in the towel and heading back to the 18 and drove pavement up to Fawnskin. It was a slushfest.
