A04AF7E4-5D6C-4556-ADD8-5AFD6CD1ADB4.jpg Yesterday I replaced my plugs along with coils and wires after a misfire issue causing CEL to flash and getting a code for misfire on 2 and 3. I had about 10 miles home and limped back.
When I took out the plug for 2, it was obviously seated poorly and the center electrode had come off at some point. I don’t have a scope, so other than a flashlight I can’t look around.
We were expecting hard rain to start this morning (I was working outside) so I put everything back together. now I’m neurotic that this little electrode is going to cause damage me a bunch more issues.since I had 2 cylinders misfiring im wondering if it came off a while ago.
should I open things back up again? Or is it so small will it (or already has) gone through/ melted? Should I order a scope or listen for something?

You could meticulously clean out your shop vac and tape a piece of clear 1/2"dia clear flexible tubing or whatever size fits through the plug hole. This should pick it up if it's still in there. Take off your valve cover gasket and check your cylinder head as well with a vacuum.

Is it magnetic, use a magnet?

Should be magnetic. I was thinking the same. Guess you could use vacuum and magnet.

Looks like the spark plug has never been replaced in quite a few years with many thousands of of miles on it

As you mentioned the plug wasn't installed properly (loose) and that can cause a lean cylinder condition which over time melts the electrode off

if it’s copper, it wouldn’t be; might have been plated with nickel at some point but it’d be very weak ans maybe come off by now, judging by the verdigris.

Looking at that spark plug again especially at the ground straps and electrode , that cylinder went dangerously lean

I've seen the same thing happen to Nitrous engines running huge kits

Its going to cost one way or the other, really needs to be looked at by a borescope. Take it to get done or buy a borescope.

Hard to say if theres damage, could have blown out the exhaust port.

I'd vacuum it out, do a compression and leak down test.
If it's within spec, keep on truckin'.

I’m thinking it went lean because of the bad seating, drawing in extra air.
