Skid plates

So I had a rotted out power steering connection, took it to get repaired instead of stressing about it… and it back fired. The shop couldn’t get my skid plate off due to rusty bolts, so the ripped the thing off. It had some minor rust as well, but now two of the holes are completely torn and twisted. And to top it off they left the stripped bolts anyway.
I picked the truck up and didn’t notice the skid plate in the bed until I got back. Anyway, I can’t find a replacement for the life of me, is there a place to order a skid plate that’s not 500 bucks? Or am I stuck looking for a scrap

Man handled the shit out of it and left the bolts for me to worry about. I tried drilling the one out and the but broke. So I’m taking it to a shop to get retreaded later. Just can’t find a skid plate under 4-5 hundo

RCI has a sale going on right now for 15% off. Their steel skid plate is like $350 shipped with tax (at least to my area). I know it’s expensive but still not $500

 

I just ordered a steel-black-powder-coat front plate from RCI ... $350 and 15% off ... less then $350 with shipping and tax. May pull the trigger on transmission as well for $300.

Aluminum front model is $450 I believe.

If that shop had any experience they should have tried professional-grade rust-dissolvers. I would suggest "demand they pay for new" but I suspect you tried that already.
