2018 Tacoma TRD SPORT DCLB with available tech package vs 2023 Tacoma TRD SPORT DCLB with NO TECH package ($1800 option saved)

ARE color matched cap with some extras vs GATOR ETX tonneau ($2500+ saved)

RC 4” suspension lift installed by a shop vs Supreme Suspensions 2” and 1” lift installed by me ($1200 saved)

20” Fuel Assault wheels vs stock ($1800 saved)

    33” Trail Grappler 33 x 12.50 (20 inch) vs Ridge Grappler 2558017 on stock wheel ($800 saved)

Leather Clazzios on both - no money saved. Love my Clazzios.

    OEM BED mat on both.

2 JL Audio 10” TW3s and 4 Morel component speakers with JL AMP VS Subaru tweeter upgrade ($1900 saved)

That’s $10K in upgrades saved. So I ask myself, did I get $10k more worth of enjoyment out of my 2018? Other than occasional sub woofer pounding that I miss…not really. Food for thought I guess.

Unless you have a net worth of several million. You are a candidate for a Dave Ramsey rant.

No millionaire…but I did pay cash for the 2018 and the 2023. Ramsey wants me driving an ‘83 accord still I’m sure.

Probably still too early to tell. You enjoyed ~5 years with your 2018 ( most likely problem free ) but only a few months with your 2023.

Once you hit the 5 year mark on your 2023, then you can compare apples-to-apples. For example if you have any serious issues with your 2023, heaven forbid, you'd probably say your 2018 was better. Now if the next 5 years you are problem-free, then your 2023 is the better one since you saved money and it was problem free.

    BTW: DCLB FTMFW!!!!

Zero maintenance issues. I should have also mentioned I traded it in for literally within a few hundred dollars of what I paid for the stock truck in 2018. Trade in values on clean trucks are still pretty crazy, meaning, I basically paid out of pocket for the mods only for 5 years of driving.

Both look great! Diggin that color on your upgrade. Enjoy that 2023.

Mine has been stock since 2017, date of purchase w 2miles on the ODO.

Shy of 85k. Its still stock lol.

Currently now about to add a few subtle mods. Looking into suspension, Wheels, minor interior stuff, Rav4 mirrors, & hopefully some clazzios this summer/fall.

The on the top looks like an unripe blueberry, and the one on the bottom looks like a ripe blueberry.

    It's the same picture.

Electric Lime is loud, and for a sophisticated palette. It does work well with the lines of the Tacoma.

Polarizing for sure. I won’t go into demographics, but I had many that hated and many that loved them. I work in north east Ohio just outside of Cleveland if that means anything to you.

Dave Ramsey is an arrogant jerk, and he treats people like crap. He is far from the Christian he uses as a guise. His financial plans and calculations are far from real world. At the end of the day he is still a salesman.
