Hey everybody, I am "Mountain Man" from Georgia, not too far outside of Atlanta. I've had multiple Toyotas and Tacomas but now I feel like its time to hop on the forum. I purchased my 2015 DCSB TRD PRO in Dec 2020 right before Covid prices went crazy. I've been slowly building it up and trying to make it my own. Before this truck I had a 2001 Tacoma that I bought in highschool as a prerunner. I did the 4x4 swap using junkyard parts and other extensive modifications on it and off-roaded with that thing HARD before I finally had to get rid of it when I was engaged to be married and needed a more "future family minded" vehicle. My wife calls it my dad truck, my father in law calls it his dream truck. In addition to this 2015 I have a 1994 Toyota Pickup that I purchased stock from an old man and turned into a highly capable east coast rock crawler through blood, 40lbs of .035 MIG wire, sweat and about $17k of parts and odds and ends. I am looking forward to being a part of this community after creeping from the sidelines for years. Happy to be in a place where I can share some of the tidbits I've learned over the years through owning, maintaining and modifying Toyota's as well as my knowledge gained through being a Ford dealership technician (mainly light and medium truck transmissions and driveline, some gas and diesel engine) over the last 5 years.662E1871-3E8B-4F9B-8C4B-81E948EB9A87.jpgD100C50E-B445-47E2-80BE-F42D6A8F7D24.jpg9AD89465-B022-4507-A778-F0F724BCD53D_1_201_a.jpg

You missed a spot on the driver front fender of the red truck. Just saying.

You caught me! When I bought it years ago the guy had taught his young daughter to drive a stick with it, as those things go mistakes were made and she tapped a pine tree. I did some meticulous body work with a rusty claw hammer and had a friend in the body shop of my dealership sand and prime it. I had plans to repaint it but then it turned into a rock crawler and the primed corner kind of grew on me! Otherwise the truck has the original 1994 paint on it. It was garage kept since the original purchase date before I "ruined it" as my wife likes to say.
