There are stories of trucks sitting in distribution sites not even 60 miles from the dealer for a month. They land at the dealer when they land.

There is no Tacoma manufacturing plant in San Diego, maybe there is a Port there though.

    Whoaaaaa Nellie.........

You think an internet forum full of strangers will have more info than a dealer who tells you there is a plant in San Diego?

    Maybe you're right! Let's see........

I would not expect it to arrive before 60 days after it is built.

Ok, stopped by Dealer on 4/1/23, just to check on status of Start build date of 3/31/23, of a TRD OFf Road in Lunar Rock ( Dealer Allotted Unit). Salesman checked his Computer, Build Date Put Off until 4/6/23. Is this Normal ? Also is “Lunar Rock” Tacomas hard to find. Told salesman I would be happy with a “Sport” also, if one became available. Thanks for any input.

There's an intermediate stop between building and delivery called "port". That's where any accessories are added. The more accessories, the longer that delay. Also the rail transit time across the US is comparable to the old Pony Express.
(even if there is no train wrecks)

It's not going to be fast! My LR OR DCSB manual was initially scheduled to be built on 3/15. Next update provided from DragonPro23 showed it being delayed until the 21st. Truck was not built until the 27th, and is now on a train to the port of Veracruz. It shows a estimated delivery date from 4/11 to 5/10. I think I will be lucky to see it by 5/10.

Mine was about 9 weeks from build to delivery to Massachusetts. It comes up here by boat so if you get on the 1st boat after it's built might be quicker or slower. The person the other thread was able to find the boat mine was on while I was waiting.
