BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Well that’s good, I guess

Well. Truck is starting fine now and running much better so I'm thinking it was water in the gas. In total I've used 5 gas line antifreeze / water remover treatments. The dealer also used a fuel additive but I don't know what that was.

The first 2 treatments were just the alcohol or isopropyl based gas line antifreeze like you'd get at a gas station. Truck ran like crap with that (I know that doesn't make sense) so I switched to the STP stuff for the last 3 treatments. Seems better. It cost more anyways. Main ingredient is solvent naphtha. The second STP treatment was in a 1/2 tank for a stronger dose. Don't know if Premium was necessary but figured it wouldn't hurt.

First time I ever had to deal with possible water in gas and I've been driving since I was 17. I'm 50 now.

    All's good for now. :fingerscrossed:

Do you always buy your gas from the same station? If so, try a different station. Years ago there was a station on my way to work that I usually bought gas from. I started having trouble like you are describing so I stopped buying gas there and the problem went away. A couple of years after that, they shut down that station and had to dig up all the tanks. They had been leaking for years, they had a big machine out there cooking the dirt as they were digging it out.

I was also told by a guy that ran a gas station to never buy gas when the fuel delivery truck is filling the tanks. It stirs up all the water and sediment in the tanks as they are filling them.

For the most part yes but I did fill up at 2 other gas stations. I've since switched to another gas station - forgot to mention that.

My old primary gas station is one of the busiest in my area. Tanks are old though. 40+ years I would imagine. I worked there in my teens. 35 years ago. lol.
