Hi folks, I think I’ve been through all the related threads but have a few questions. I have a 2021 4x4 Sport. Like a lot of people I want to install a TRD Pro grill. I’m 78 years old and will probably keep this truck until I croak. I want a good quality grill. I know there are several aftermarket grills available and also know that many of you recommend an OEM grill. I stopped at my local Toyota dealer today and asked him the part # and cost of a TRD Pro grill and the garnish that would fit my 2021 Sport. He gave me the following…

    grill- part # PT228-38200-AA. $258.96

    Garnish- part # 53141-35060. $483.36

    1. You folks that have done this, are these the right part numbers? The parts guy also told me that the garnish included the camera. I don’t have a front facing camera on my truck, just the TTS.

    2. Another question, is it possible to get an OEM grill and use one of those aftermarket $38 garnishes with it?

    3. Does anyone ‘highly’ recommend one aftermarket grill over the others in case I decide to go in that direction?

Thanks for your time guys. I know this topic has been beat to death, but I appreciate any input and advice.

most after market are just the center grill and you have to detach and install the new somehow, with epoxy?
i bought one years ago and sold it on craigs list. i would stick with the OEM you want. IMO
i am a year behind you, LOL

I bought an aftermarket grill off of Ebay years ago and nobody can tell the difference from OEM, including me. The mounting of the aftermarket from and the OEM is the same. I actually think they are made at the same factory over seas but cannot confirm that. It is not a hard thing to install. I think it took me 30 minutes start to finish. I cannot help you with the garnish as mine does not have one. I say go aftermarket for at least the grill and save some money.

I bought an aftermarket TRD Pro grille for my 2018 Off-Road and it looks identical. Install maybe took 30 minutes. Super easy.

Same here - after market grill with garnish. It fit perfectly and has held up great. I bought it off of FreshMexicoTaco from this sight. I'm not sure if he still sells them though.

I bought mine from Yotaverse.com and it has met my expectations perfectly. Camera or no camera versions available, I paid $170 for mine and the garnish included. My neighbor has a TRD pro and my grill is exactly the same as hers without the camera. Small little details like the ribs and color are exactly the same on both. It took me 1 hour to install mine, easy to do.
