Truck arrival time

My Tacoma was projected to arrive on Friday but it still at the distribution center now(Sat. Morning). What are the chances it arrives to the dealership today for me to pick up?

 

Zero. The amount of deliveries from transport on a weekend are almost nil. You may be lucky to get it next week depending on how everything is at your distribution center. If it’s anything like the receiving center where I used to live they wait for a full truckload to be set for your dealer before delivering.

 

What region are you in, I'm Southeast and my truck has been at the distribution center since mid February with no exact date of when it will even ship to my local dealer. This is very frustrating because the dealers are zero help

 

Will your dealer allow you to watch it get unloaded and then hand you the keys so you can take it away?

Wouldn't you want the dealer to do a presale inspection and perform all needed checks and clean the vehicle before you hand over that final chunk of change?

It seems that you're not familiar with what the dealer should be doing before the vehicle is handed off to you.

keep in mind, Toyota, and other reputable MFG, are going to require PDI, so you still have another step. Now, some dealers can get new vehicles pushed through in hours, but with it being a Saturday and they might be shorthanded, me thinks you will get your new truck mid to late week.

 

Some more info: The reason why I am in a hurry is because my wife and I are down to one car because my other one broke down. I am being told that it will arrive at the dealership on the 23rd now.

Sorry, I know the wait sucks, but it'll be here in a few short days.
Hindsight is 20/20, but that is one reason I try to not to pinch the ever last mile out of my vehicles.

 

Don't put money on it. And I'm guessing if it does you might see it 2 days later.

Don't be so excited you overlook things that need attention before leaving the lot.

Mine sat in the rail yard for a month before somebody got off their ass and trucked it the 60 miles to the dealer. You'll get it, but don't hold your breath waiting.
