Tacoma TRD Lift Kit. Suspension Kit.

I have a 2023 TRD Off-road on 16” wheels. This kit added 2” on the front and 1” in the back. Can I run 33” tires (32.8”)? Considering putting 285/75/16 Wildpeak A/T3w’s on it.

 

I’m totally stock running 32s. I believe there are a few that have started with that size on stock suspension. Wheel offset plays a huge part in fitment.

 

So many factors play into running 285's. Alignment, which usually requires aftermarket UCA's, wheels (offset) if your going to wheel it( offroading) how hard. Is it going to be a pavement princess. Lifts alone don't allow for larger tires. Every truck is different in these situations. Answer, yes and no. Some require, cutting, hammering, and heating for clearance.

I think you could take two identical build trucks off the line that are built together and shit would be different on each of them. And not just small things.

I believe oem offset is +25. How much spacer would I need (in case the aftermarket shop is in the dark).

 

I have no idea; 1.25 seems to be available everywhere for tacoma's though.

 

285's on stock wheels will rub UCA'S. Reach over your stock tire now. Barely get a finger between tire and UCA. You would need at least .75 (Bora) wheel spacers.

 

255/85/16 might be an option. I’ve been a skinny fan for a while. Most are mt but there are at versions out there.

Most people use 1.25" spacers withstock wheels and 285s

 

I ran 255/85-16 a little while with stock suspension on a 2020 TRDOR DCLB. Minor rubbing up front on some plastic in the wheel well directly behind the wheel. If you’re mall crawling, you could run and forget about it. If you off-road, you’ll rub a lot.

I ended up taking them off because they were destined for my 71 Land Cruiser.

 

You can run 33’s if u don’t mind a minor rub in the wheel well. I run 33’s on a 1.5” level in the front and stock in the back and they fit fine.

 

2023 with 285/75r16 on stock wheels with zero modification.

I second this. I ran 285s on stock sr5 wheels which are +25 offset and they only rubbed on the UCA when turning. Now I'm running 0 offset wheels which don't rub at all. I'm running no fender liners in the front which help a little bit, no CMC done.

 

100% clears all body and fenders. even mud flaps. rubs sway bar at full locks and ever so slighty rubs uca while suspension droops and wheels turned. it does not rub uca directly behind wheel but the side of arm while turned. it rubs so little that if you just turn 95% instead of 100 it doesn't ever rub whilr daily driving. offroad wheels sit out further than other trims. this would not be possible with trd sport wheels. adding a 3/4" spacer to the or wheels would eliminate all rubbing from what i see. i ordered 2" though so i fully expect to have to trim and do cab mount chop. not too worried as this truck is getting 35s later
