Anyone done satin black or matte black hood wrap on a mag grey 2nd gen? If so would love to see some pics! I’ve got some paint chips on my hood and rather than repainting hood or touching up was thinking a wrap could clean things up and give the truck a good look.

    Thanks!

Here you go. My rationale for installing a hood decal was the same as yours…. I love how it turned out.

Nice! Looks good. Did you install yourself and is that a matte or satin black? I’ve been watching some YouTube vids and may attempt it. I like middle hood stamp concept and look for contrast, but most of my chips are on the leading edge front of the hood so I’m leaning towards doing full hood.

Yeah I did it myself. Used a mixture of isopropyl alcohol, couple drops of dawn, and water and a felt covered squeegee to install the decal. I believe it is a matte decal, cut from 3M film.

I would say go for it dude and report back here with pics. I would like to see what an MGM taco with a blacked out hood looks like :)

I haven't done it yet but have been thinking of doing mine for the same reasons. I bought some vivid off of Amazon to do a few interior parts and it seems to be durable stuff. I think i'm going to order enough of the below to do my hood and roof. Just not to sure if I want to go with that or just a stain black.
