Does pretty good. Cement snow first path is a bitch.
I had to put a winch on the tractor to raise the blower because with the water filled snow bent my manual lift a couple of times
over the years. So now I push a button. Makes it so much easier.

The canopy is the best part.
Wind blowing 40mph and I’m comfortable sitting inside.
The wind is what gets you.
Of course you’re going to need chains and weights.
You buy the chains and there is room for another cross chain or two so I had an old set and installed them. Still could use one more but that’s where you separate the chain.

It has enough power (22hp) to do it so not lacking there.
Doesn’t turn well with the blower down. There is a lot of surface so turning around with it down doesn’t work.
I still use the walk behinds for around the house.

They changed it for free with my stuff I bought ready to go, so there's that.

Ironically I just changed the oil in the Tacoma after a couple dealer services and the well known filter housing being stuck on by dealers came off with ease. Friggin' weird...

I did have to get into my stash of used, but good drain plug washers. I think they've used the same one for 20K miles

I have an Amazon shipment coming today... sometime between midnight and midnight. So they're already late.

And I've never had Amazon outsource a delivery before but this is a 170 pound box.

    I should of added:

I’m thinking partial disassembly, wire brushing the rust then painting over the parts w POR—15. Black and Safety Red

Anyone compare the Honda Red to Por-15 Safety Red? I guess it really doesn’t matter, all things considered.

Don’t use por in the auger area.
A guy did that up here and he has a problem with sticking snow.. if your going to paint over the por and clear it I don’t see an issue then but it sticks on his machine.

Meyer (snow plows) recommends their Sno-Flo paint, seems it would work on a blower too. #07027

I've never understood why 36 inch blowers aren't more common... that's the standard width of a sidewalk in my area and it would have been super simple for a lawn tractor/blower to do all the sidewalks.. my walk behind takes 1 1/2 passes .. silly people anyways.

Ever thought about some spring loaded wheels on the back side of your blower? To help with the turning part I mean

Take the weight off the blower and it won’t scrape. Wheels stick and slide. I understand exactly what you’re suggesting but, to be honest, I could solve a lot of the problems if I just put chains on the front tires. I could build a set from scratch however, I don’t need to make turns in my situation unless I’m turning around for a return run. The blower is up. Someone that did sidewalk turns etc. would maybe benefit from that. I just like to give people info if they ask me stuff…

Fumoto FTW! But this is the exact reason I make sure my fill plugs can be removed before I attempt anything with the drain plugs on my dif’s trans or xfer case. Overhead welding of hex nuts on stripped plugs while laying under the truck usually results in slag where you don’t want it… like in your ear.

It is always a good idea to check the clearance stuff at TSC.

Makita 3/8" drive impact -- I had a gift card I have been holding on to since Christmas too.

They do. I’ve had UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Some are only for part of the route. USPS is last mile stuff mostly. UPS seems to be da heavy. FedEx is mostly logistics problems it seems. I’d guess when the wrong warehouse is fulfilling a Prime.

My old Honda dealer sells filters with the washer taped to the housing… you’re going to need both and they’re not going to beat you up on a $2 washer if you’re already buying the Honda filter. They know you’re wanting to do it right. They are one of the most organized and knowledgeable parts departments I knew beyond the old 70s dealerships and 80s parts houses. Remember when you could walk in with a part in hand and they could tell you exactly what it was from with only minimal additional information needed. Or they would say… that looks just like… walk away and come back with either a perfect match, or at least something likely workable. Remember getting something “rebuilt”?

It was Cross Country Freight Solutions, who, ironically, I made and installed a ton of decals for at my first job when they were Cross Country Courier. :)

2.5" lift, all new chinese light plastics, led lights here and there... want to make a daily "overlander" modeled after "overland under budget"..
Afternoon guys, a little more snow today, temps up around 20.
Been through the last few days pages here in shop time.. 1st happy birthday to hunter! 2nd the row stuff...man i feel for u. Ive got a dipchit neighbor behind us that had been encroaching, mowing part of my field and even planted some fruit trees. I ended up paying for a current survey(4000 bucks) and obvious monuments...little to do with the row situation but i sympathize. 3rd...any of u guys ever had knee problems? Months ago i knelt down onto my right knee and herd a crunch...very little pain and swelling but went away on its own. Since then ive mistakenly knelt down on it and bumped it here and there...well the last 3 days its been swelling up(looks like my knee has a knee) and it fricken hurts now! Someone telling me its my bersa? and may need surgery! I know, i know, go to the doc...at 43 i spose this stuff is my new normal. Lol

I remember buying brushes and bushings to repair starters for just a few dollars.
You could buy brushes and bearings for alternators too, later you could buy handy all in one kits for the GM alternators.

With the Chrysler alternators often just one brush would wear out, you could troubleshoot it with a test light and replace the brush right on the car and be on your way.

Good days, many years gone now... :pout:
