I have searched pretty extensively and haven't found anyone running an aftermarket intake on a 3G with the Magnuson Supercharger. I know the factory intake is a cold air intake, etc but there has to be a point at which it becomes a restriction. Also an intake with a cone style filter would definitely allow the supercharger to be heard better. Has anyone modified an aftermarket intake to work with the Magnuson?

I bought my 2019 OR MT used almost 2 years ago and the previous owner had put in what I think is a K&N Cold Air Series 63 CAI. I installed my Magnuson SC around Christmas 2022. I had to cut the K&N tube to mate to the intake tube that came with the SC, but it worked out fine. Had the tune done by OTT and it runs great!

Nice setup. I would prefer a closed box to keep out heat, water, etc. How does it sound? Do you hear more blower whine with the open intake?

I think it sounds great. But I never had the stock air box so I have nothing to compare it to. I doubt if the blower whine is any louder, it is fairly quiet. The intake opening is very noticeable though.
