I run 'em. They're on the narrow side, but not as bad as my All Star Converse.

Anyone have a kid with experience on the new(ish) Specialized Jett kids bikes? My buddy is looking to get 1 for his daughter, whos is turning 8. I told him to get the 24in. He is leaning towards the 20in, which I think is just too small. She's 48in tall, so to me that is already towards the end of the spectrum on the 20in. The 24in chart starts at 44in. Obviously having the kid sit on them both is going to help decide but I would have a hard time buying a bike for an 8year old, that is designed for 5-8 year olds. I would assume by next year it would be too small. The 24in is 7yrs and up. Seems pretty clear cut. Figured maybe someone here may have first-hand experience.

I don't know if my feet are narrow or normal, but I’ve got a set of Kestrels and a set of sleuths coming, so hopefully narrow haha

I have an 8 year old boy and 9 year old daughter. They are both on 24" bikes and they are short for their ages, 49" and 51" tall. 20" would be ok for fun jumps and stuff, but the 24" wheels roll over stuff so much better if he plans to take them off paved surfaces.

Currently deciding between the same sizes, and possibly the Spesh Jett, for my 6 y/o daughters that’s already almost 51” tall. Leaning more toward the 24” personally, with more analysis being whether to go with something like they Jett or more to the Riprock side. Either size or model will be a huge jump. She’s currently on a 16” Trek Precaliber, so going to gears and hand brakes will be interesting. But she looks like a clown on a toy bike at the moment so something’s gotta give.

    Those are so sweet.

Lol ya going from a 16" is for sure a big jump. I think my buddy's daughter is also. But to me, the Spesh 20s are pretty small for a kid over 4ft. And at least w the Jett 24, it has a lot of adjustment, so the kids can ride the bike for a long time. My buddy saw 1 review where a kid a 4ft thought the Jett 24 was too tall at the seat. But I still wouldn't buy a bike targeted at a 5-8 yr old (the Jett 20) for an 8yr old, if it were my kid, I don't think.

Consider the Cannondale 24” bike. Both kids have them and they have been solid. Very light weight which I feel is important for kids. On sale and you can get another 20% off right now if you are an REI member.

Y'all, I must be mentally challenged.

Breeding SRAM Code RSC brakes with the bleeding edge kit. Do all the prep, loosen/remove the screw on each end, and then when I push fluid from lever to caliper syringe no worries.

HOWEVER! no matter how much effort I put in, I cannot get the syringe to push fluid from caliper end to the lever. All the video guides make it look so easy, and I've had no issue in the past.

Any ideas what would be making this time act like its uni-directional?

My reply isnt going to help, but I always just pull from lever to caliper and just do it a few times.
