Thanks for all the prayers, that call left me feeling a little dark last night.

I'd be glad to help out. I'm currently on a windows machine, but at heart, I'm a Mac guy. They are just a little expensive on the front end. I still have my 2012 MacBook Air. It needs a little TLC, but it still works. It's been around the world and through 4 years of college. I had a MacBook and an iMac before the Air. My niece still has my iMac; it's 15+ years old and also still works. If you can afford it on the front end, I really think you can justify the initial expense with how long they last compared to windows machines. In the same time I've had my Mac Air, my dad has been through 4 windows laptops. When I got my iMac, I signed up for a one-year plan of 1-to-1 sessions at the apple store, where a Mac expert taught me how to use whatever I wanted to know about my Mac. Back then, it cost me $100, but it was well worth the money and time for the help I received. I think they offer an online version now that would be worth looking into, as there aren't any stores near P'cola. Apple also offers a 10% mil discount.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Here, they were saying 1" to maaayyyyybe 3" overnight into the morning. Woke up to 3+" and still snowing hard. Had to go into town for a haircut and do groceries, since I was there anyways. They had at least 8" on the ground @ 9AM. By the time I wrapped everything up and headed for home, there was almost 10", tapering off but not stopped. One county hadn't even cleared the main roads, much less the secondary roads or side streets. Back home here, we have about 4 1/2" of wet sloppy crap. Should be done snowing within the next hour.

This after we were down to maybe 6" banks along side the street with nothing in most of the yard. Welcome to spring. At least tomorrow is supposed to be back in the lower 40's.

still coming down. the local sheriff's just issued another request for emergency travel only. the interstate is closed right now due to multiple wrecks. local fire posted a pic of the fire trucks out with chains on - you know its bad if they have to chain up!

Sorry for you to get all of that bad news at once.

Today was my GF's Mothers 'interment of ashes' in Germany, her niece setup a laptop so that she could see the service and talk to relatives. It was about 5am our local time when it happened. No one outside of her niece or sister would even acknowledge that she was "there", they refused to even say hello. I will never understand the absolute pettiness of humans.

That's unfortunate, funerals should be the time to set aside differences and make amends.

When a good friend of the family passed the kids were dividing up her assets at the wake before the ceremony..

Evening everyone, rain/snow hasn’t stopped all day. Dinner with the kids was great, food was delicious. Daughters boyfriend snagged the bill before we could , we got the tip. I think he’s a keeper.
