'06 is new to me!

    Hey all,
    Just picked up an 06 Access Cab 4x4 w/ TRD off-road pkg and 6spd, a truck I've been looking for for a while and ended up having to take a trip on an airplane to get, seeing as nobody in Southern California seems to want to sell one like it. Best part is that the one I found had only 17000 miles on it! I just drove it across California and couldn't be happier!

    Tomorrow the truck is off to the desert to look for some chukar and then onto the mountains where hopefully it will end up parked up to the door handles in snow while I'm off in the mountains with my snowboard.

    For now the truck is bone stock but over the next few months I'd like to put a modest lift and mod it to fit some 285/75/R16 BFG AT's. I don't offroad for the sake of offroading, but this truck will be logging serious hours in Baja on questionable "roads" looking for surf and I don't want to end up stranded in the desert.

    First off though will be a shell and some rock sliders, have to keep my stuff dry and my body panels looking sharp!

    Thanks in advance to all of you who I'm sure will be helping me make this truck into an adventure machine, this website seems like a great collection of knowledgeable minds full of enthusiasm about our pursuit of the end of the road less traveled.
