Their turnaround is pretty fast, I’ve seen people in other groups get them back immediately. I’m sure they have them ready to go as soon as they receive your toppers

That was my original plan but I needed new tires too and Tire Rack in DE gives you $40 off if you pick up in New Castle so we made a loop around the Wilmington/ Newark/ New Castle area. Would have gone into MD too but the weather was dreary, traffic sucked and was starting to run short on time.

Nothing super special but restocked a barrel pick that I really loved, and added a few new ones to the menu. Without taxes I actually got lower than PA price on the Widow Jane, JD Bonded and OF Rye. Oh yeah and I got my tires.

Yeah definitely fun to be out hunting. I think I was a little early for what I was REALLY looking for which is the new Woodford Derby bottle and the JD 10/12. Don't think they have hit the area yet. But had some good chats with the store owners, sampled a couple new barrel picks, and picked up some other good bottles.

Tried the Eagles Rare last night. It was good but not great. Angles Envy is still better.

That WJ13 is impossible to find here.

Jim Beam Single Barrels are sleepers for the price if you like Beam profile.

EC Barrel Proof private barrels and Maker's store picks are always winners.

Nice little stock there for a single day's work.

Spicy on the front end, smooth and sweet finish. Not a bad pour at all.

Followed the Bardstown up with regular old Bowman Brothers Small Batch. For half the price the Bowman Brothers has it beat. Not even close.

Have had a few different sips tonight at a birthday party. High West Bourbon was a new one to me and enjoyed that. Thought it was pretty good. Followed that up with OF 1920 and now at home, a nice pour of the Colonel.

@SwampYota I’ve heard varying reviews on the Bardstown. I can’t find it here in NM so I asked my daughter to look for it in Colorado before she comes home next weekend. A few I’ve talked to enjoyed the Fusion #7 Series. But, your review has me wondering if it’s worth looking for. I’ll see what my daughter is able to find, maybe I’ll just go with their regular bourbon to start, because their stuff isn’t cheap!

It is not, $60-something here in a controlled state. #8 had good reviews online and it’s not bad. If it were $30 I’d probably buy another, not at its current price though.
