There was a good post in the 2nd gen section on these. I couldnt find one in the 3rd gen. Probably is but the search engine is doo doo.

Heres some tips if you decide to install one. Ill put pics later.

Theyve got this one with the light on sale right now.

u-Box Tacoma Roof Rack Top Crossbars Basket Cargo Carrier w/ 100W LED Light Bar Compatible with Toyota Tacoma 05-23 2/3 Gen Double Cab Pickup Trucks (amazon.com)

Its built pretty good. But if putting it on Id suggest these additional steps,
    1. Assemble before hand, and then take off the front and back pieces. Makes it mush easier to put on and tighten the bolts to the truck roof. And lighter to put it on the truck.
    2. Tighten the mounting brackets in the highest position with the side rails pushed all the way forward.
    3. Lay a blanket on the top of the truck to keep from scratching it when putting the rack up there.
    3. Put some sealer between the brackets and the roof. Dicor BT-1834-1 1/8" x 3/4" x 30' Butyl Seal Tape (amazon.com)
    4. Attach the brackets to the roof with the brackets moved all the way to the rear of the truck.
    5. Re-attach the rear brace.
    6. Put this rubber seal on instead of the one they provide. Its a bit thicker. Car Door Rubber Seal Strip Automotive Weather Stripping with Top Bulb fit for Boats, Automobile, RVs, Trucks, and Home Applications (10ft) (amazon.com)
    7. Re-attach the front section. Careful it can be awkward and heavy to handle by yourself.
    8. With the bolts on the brackets/roof rack loosened up a bit move the rack back and down until you get the best seal on the front. Then tighten down.

Note: These fit pretty tight to the groves on the sides, careful not to lower too fast and scratch your roof top. I had to whack mine a bit on one side with a soft blow hammer to get a good clearance from my roof edge.

Ive driven around at 80mph and its got a wind noise, but not too bad. With the radio on or the vent fan on low you dont notice it. I plan on making a light cover too for when I dont need the light bar. That should reduce the sound even more.

It will be good for carrying junk, canoe, and the occasional lumber and metal. I plan on converting the bed extender to a rear rack support. It will latch in while vertical and support the back of my canoe or whatever. Swing out, swing in, or swing up.
