I picked up a 357 mag Big Boy X at the end of last year and went full space cowboy. It’s hands down one of my most fun guns to shoot.

I just put a Dead Air Wolfman in jail for it last week. It’s gonna be even more fun once I put that thing on it around Christmas time. Suppressed 38 special is a hoot!

Wow. That Henry looks awesome. I think that will be my next purchase orthe long ranger in 556. I’m loving the Henry’s. Unfortunately both are out of stock around my area .

I highly recommend it, they’re just hard to find. I got super lucky and while most shops I called hadn’t seen one in a few years a regional box store near me Bi-Mart (imagine if Costco and Walmart had a baby) got 40 of them in and I scooped it up for $300 under MSRP.

Here's my Big Boy .45 Colt. Replaced the buckhorn rear sight with a Skinner peep sight, wrapped the lever and added a sling with cartridge loops. I also refinished the stock to a bit lighter shade.

I like that they've pretty much put the side gate on everything now. It's such a huge upgrade from the tube loading.

I like the side gate better than removing the inner sleeve and loading from the slot up front, but you have the option of either way on this rifle. With the side gate it's easier to top off your load and keep the magazine full.

I absolutely hate the tube load. I tried it the first time I took my Henry out and then never used it again.

Plus it’d be a royal pain in the ass if I had to take my can off every time I needed to reload (which is a lot with how fun this thing is!)

    Side gate is the way.

Side gate is great for reloading but there is something to be said for dumping the tube after a hunt where you don’t shoot.

I shoot mine in competition - 5 shots at per relay. The tube is good for this.

I can see where it could be a hindrance while hunting and/or with a can.

But, either way, shooting a Henry is great!!!
