    I am not sure why my initial inquiry went south so fast... :notsure: To me an inquiry about better camera quality is no different than say, a specialized front or rear bumper, acquiring a pro grille, adding sound deadening material, putting on seat covers or installing seat jackers. I haven't found any camera replacement which would be PnP, but if I do, I'll post it.
    Obviously a clear lens covering is important as others have written and the Glare Blockers I purchased from PDGLCC (via Etsy) help improve the image at night... It's all good. :cheers:

    SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
    If only there were big, clear pieces of glass and a means of rotating our heads.

    @stftaco

    It's the culture of TW.

    You'll have input like mine with an honest assessment without degrading/negative remarks. (Being honest about my personality on TW)

    Then you'll see other input that you decide whether they are worthy of consideration. (Notice how I did not inject my personal feeling?)

    Since first logging into a Forum in late 2011, what I have learned: ignoring replies "on-the-fly" without mentioning it, seems to work best.

    It's all in how you ask the question. I suspect if you have left out the first question, asked more like a statement as if everyone thinks current camera is bad, you would have rec'd more productive responses.

    Should have just left it as "Has anyone looked into upgrading the rear camera?"

    It's a forum. We can focus on sharing information and experience, even offering up opinion... All is fine with me. But if you can't be constructive in your postings or responses - if your signal to noise ratio is really quite low - what do you have to offer being here?

    Welcome to discussions of backup cameras on TW.

    This exact topic comes up every few months and regardless of how it is asked it always ends up the same. Folks just have to find something to win a victory over others on, in this case its usually about how they can use mirrors of all things.

    I have the 360 camera and completely agree that the resolution could be better. Especially when 4 wheeling. I don't care so much about backing up on a daily basis. If there was better resolution on the cameras and you could see how close your tires are coming to rocks while trying to sneak by on a shelf road and not need to stick your head out the window to check constantly or have spotters. Not to mention when backing up on any 4 wheel trail to let others pass.
    With what we have come to expect from our TVs, phone screens, door bells and security cams, it's not unreasonable to expect the same from our truck screens. I wish there was a good option out there :thumbsup:
    Sure I wheeled for years without this sissy stuff but since we have it, it may as well be useful and helpful when needed:notsure:

    If I have to pay for a .gov mandated camera, I at least would like it to be up to the clarity of what is available on other makes. I hated my 19 ranger, but the backup camera was very good, made hooking up trailers a breeze. The one in my 22 trd sport? Not so much.
