I like mine. To me, it feels like the truck has full use of it's power. Now before anyone pounces on me, let me tell you this. my truck is stock suspension and tire size. It doesn't ever have anything in the bed except fishing equipment 5 times a year. I have never towed anything with it. It sits 5-6 days a week. But I have really enjoyed driving it since adding the PC. Sport+3 or 4 is just nuts. LOL.

Those may not have any effect on throttle response.

I miss my P28 with Hondata s300 at times.

    :(

Looking back things were so much more simpler back then.
Throttle body with cable connected straight to the pedal.
25% pedal would open 25% tb.
80% pedal gives you 80% tb

    A perfect 1:1 ratio.
As Newton's third law states: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Now a days OEM tunes screw with Newton third law.

I need Sir Newton to give my Tacoma a tune.

Not quite. The volume of air that can move based on opening angle is not linear. But yes, cable was much more simple.

I had a pedal commander but I can’t comment if it gets better gas mileage because I put that thing on pretty much when I bough the truck. It absolutely makes a difference in throttle response but it will still gear hunt and shift weirdly.
After I did more research I went with the OTT9 tune and that is a day and night difference. Having used both I would advise to spend a little extra and get the tune instead.

Return it and do nothing to your truck. Only way to get better mileage is to drive slower. It works, I try not to exceed 75mph on the freeway, and even with winter gas I average about 19-20mpg. Summer gas I'm getting about 22mpg.

Also, before you make any purchase promising MGP gains you should do the math on how many miles it would take to break even on your purchase. If you can't do the math, just blame public schools and buy whatever you want since cost/benefit analysis falls under "when will I ever use this?" ;)

I think you are confused with my post. It was a reply to post #18.
"...First example: better throttle response. Say the Tacoma has a delay of two seconds going from closed to full throttle. No matter how fast you smash the pedal it cannot be faster than two seconds. Here’s where the PC comes in. Let’s say whatever setting you choose changes the closed to open down to a second. Now you have much quicker throttle response. Something that is impossible via foot control...."

The poster doesn’t understand the Tacoma ecu throttle limitations nor the effect of PC on components of CAN networks.
PC and other products do nothing but amplifying the output signal voltage to ecu, thus tricking ecu to apply calculation at a different accelerator input value. This results a higher voltage on a signal wire to the trottle duty motor.

Go search old tuning threads for throttle limits per gear tables for AT. See how much throttle you can have from 0 to 20 % of accelerator on Stock. PC will put you north of those values. That's why you feel excited. Also previously mentioned other limits

Even cabled throttles have room for changes. Not always a 1:1 ratio either. They make all sorts of different cams to play with that.

I have full flat bottom skids on mine. But there is a bit of room to steal those. One of these I should pick up a set of these.

Sorry, I do understand exactly how a Tacoma throttle works and I also understand how a PC works. I’ve also tested one for myself.

But thanks for telling me I don’t understand. Keep up the good work!

The accelerator and throttle both use a hall effect sensor to determine angles.

Sure?. still can cut at behind the crossmember and below downstream o2 sensor and yank the shit out.. probably can make some coin by recycling an extra pipe.. There is a room judging by the pic.
