How to change a route on Google maps

    How do you change a route on google maps? I’m in CA and want to travel to Vancouver, WA via highway 1, Google maps suggested route is I5. The answers I’ve gotten from google searches is to simply drag the suggested route to the desired route but that’s not working

    Thats how you do it on the computer, but I've never had luck on mobile doing that.

    My long-shortcut way is just put a few intermediate "destinations" along US1 and eventually it'll route you up the coast.

    You might also be able to select the "avoid interstate" option and that might do it.

    Yeah, I guess adding stops/destinations is the only way
