The 700lb springs on my toytec 2.0’s were way to stiff and went to 600lb springs and it helped. I don’t have the weight you have.

Question for you guys with the 2.5 aluma's. What size spring are on them? I know that they come with a 700lb spring but is it 13 or 14 inches long?

What setting would i have to adjust the front coil-overs to on the boss 2.0 kit to get it level with the progressive ALL i saw that 2.5” in the front would keep my truck with a factory lookin rake.

Elka will be able to provide you with everything you need. Honestly, replacing the spherical bearing was pretty darn easy.

I was able to get them locally and swapped them out already.

What about a truck used for weekend camping that constantly stays loaded with 350lbs of camper shell and drawers, and then another couple hundred pounds for camping trips?

Holy crap I was just quoted $3600 for the parts and install. Which seemed high to me, tbh.

You don’t want those shocks. There’s only two places in the entire US that works on them and they are both overpriced. When I called Toytec and asked them who can work on them in the Denver area they told me two places; Tru Automotive and 303 Shocks. Both places are untrue, and 303 told me they reached out to Elka and they wouldn’t provide the rebuild information.

Elka was unable to provide me with the instructions to rebuild my shocks after weeks of back and forth. That’s why I’ve decided to ditch mine and purchase mine from a suspension company that empowers their customers to repair the suspension themselves.

Yikes. That's good info to have from a rear world user. What did you end up going with? My rear suspension is bottomed out with my camper shell and drawers and need new leaves at least.

Well, I would go one of two routes, depending on where you live and how you intended to use your truck. If you’re not doing any serious wheeling I’d go for a solution like air bags. They are affordable and more adjustable when you change your load.

Otherwise I’d go with Deaver U402 stage 2 or 3. Im extremely happy with mine.

I ordered Fox from @AccuTune Offroad. They were a pleasure working with and they provided useful empowering information in a timely manner.

Sorry, I forgot to quote you in my response above.

The reason I went with Accutune I’d because they valve the suspension for your trucks weight and needs for free. The difference in suspension design isn’t much different between brands, so instead of focusing on brand, try to get 2.5s with external reservoirs that are tuned for your truck. If you can find a cheaper brand that checks those boxes and provides you the information to rebuilding yourself, then I’d go for it.

If you’re not willing to rebuild yourself, be prepared to shell out 1K every 25-50k miles, or drive around a squeaking truck with clapped out suspension. That’s the truth about upgrades suspension that no one likes to talk about.

Lastly, I’ve heard that Locked suspension is a quality shock and that the owner is passionate and easy to get ahold of. I don’t have experience with that brand, but at this point I think it’s a better “budget” option than a company that doesn’t provide basic rebuild information to its customers like Elka/Toytec.

Following as I am debating 2.0 or 2.5 Toytec BOSS full suspension system to replace my 2017 TRD PRO Fox suspension system as both the front coils have cracks.

Can you state publicly here that Toytec does not rebuild their Toytec Boss suspension, and the only two places in the US that will perform rebuilds are Roll Design and Impact Solutions?

if that is not these case, what are the other current US options for Boss Aluma rebuilds?

We are offering rebuild kits here in house, as of right now we are backordered on them but will be getting good amount of stock on them soon.

As for rebuild services, we will be offering rebuilding in house here soon, yes. We have been down 2 techs in the shop recently so therefore we have had to switch gears to be able to fulfill the full builds in house along with now offering gear installs and other services.

If you would like, give me a call direct or DM me your information and I can see what the lead times are on rebuilds here in house. :fistbump:

    Thank you

It is probly in this thread some where but can someone help me out I don't have the time reading every post. Does anyone have the collapsed / extended shock length of 2.0 boss rear? I am trying to figure it out for the older style idk if they are the same specs as current . The shock visually is different decals/ such . There don't seem to be exact specs for the 2.0 on the site either. That I saw..
