Flipping the narrative. Our Civic has been hit three different times recently. It was fucking parked.. everytime...

    In the past eight months:

    1. Nieghbor (not paying attention)
    2. Domino's delivery driver (not our pizza and tried to deny it)
    3. Nieghbors daughters boyfriend. (Super cool fast and furious mustang guy)

Coincidentally the damage was front side driver each time.

    Today's fun:

    20230325_141519.jpg

Oh! And my truck was recently hit and run on too... The one time I turn off my dashcam off for the night...
    :smack:

Asshole drivers can't get enough of our vehicles lately....

Get a dash cam and be safe out there everyone.

Kind of a saftey thing when parking a commercial or large vehicle in a parking lot take up 4 spots so others can't park next to you and you can easily maneuver out.

Why drive an RV to the store is what I question.

If your driving a larger vehicle that can’t fit through a crowded parking lot you need to park farther away. I pretty much daily drove a 35 foot tow truck for about a year and had to park in many many parking lots never got blocked in And never took up more then 2 parking spaces.

I’m guessing they were picking up groceries for camping trip and just couldn’t be bothered to park farther away.

    a) they're mid trip and need food
    b) starting a trip and stocking up
    c) that's all they got, home and transportation in one

    All possibilities.

Some people have no sense and will park to the point you can't easily get out of a space. Just because you are capable of maneuvering out of a tight spot doesn't mean you have to. Most people have enough sense not to block in a tow truck, not always the case when driving another truck. Most any where I have ever worked and that's different fields involving the operation of a truck. Those businesses instructions were if you must park in a lot, take up multiple spaces to avoid a possible accident this included making a deliver or simply parking when going into a business.

I don't park like an asshole or try to act like in general. I park in a fairly courteous manner to protect my vehicle as well as others. If I'm doing something because I think it's safer, and someone don't like that. I don't care not my problem, lifes too short for that BS. I'm not directing this message at you personally. I know this thread is to poke fun at sloppy parking, and plain ole ignorant parkers.

Hard to tell how much more parking lot there is to the right there. If it's like the lots around here, could be a row of single spots with the cars you can see there parked nose in to the end of the lot.

just a single row backing up to a curb. But there was room to park that camper over there, and have room to get out, and might have been able to fit into a single space or possibly 2.

I'd give him a pass, who is he hurting parking there, at least he is out of the way. Can't say he was impeding ADA either from the ramp in the background as there is way more than 3' of space between him and the car. Just because there are lines saying no parking, you got to ask "Why is that no parking?" Civil engineers fuck up all the time. Just because there is a "rule" doesn't mean it can't be questioned, some rules are stupid.

Went to good ol Wal/mart yesterday and not one, not two, but THREE jerks park in the disabled spots + leave the disabled person in the car while they run in to do WTF ever, as if they were the disabled person. . . .

If the vehicle has a placard or plate, it isn't always true that the person driving is the one who needs it.

Case in point, long ago here it was plate and not placard. My friend drove his aunt's car with the plate, he was responsible for bringing her places or picking her up. If he was getting her somewhere he'd park in the handicapped spot; yes he wasn't handicapped but she had to be able to get to the car quickly as she was the one who was handicapped.

In each instance the person who got out was 20+ yr younger and the remaining passenger was extremely elderly - the gentleman next to me asked grandma if she needed anything -

I have a valid permit and when I drive my car, I have been yelled at, bc a disabled person can't possibly drive a sports car + I am not that old.. so I understand that not everyone who has one, appears disabled -
I would never confront a person, nor treat them how I have been treated bc I do realize that there are many unseen disabilities -

But the mis/use of the placards seems to be common around here, especially with respect to taking grandma/grandpa to Walmart after church on Sunday

Sometimes if it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, it is -in fact- a duck
