    Hi everyone,

I ordered a basic trim level SR 2022 Taco last year and received in March (2022) because I love simplicity and don't tow anything. I just throw 12 foot paddleboards and fishing kayaks, surf boards, etc so I love the legendary 2TR-FE 4 banger that will last forever. Mine specifically came without rear seats so I can fit my big paddleboard wheel cart or other gear behind my front seats. Even my key is a dumb key. I wanted a dumb key because my keys and other stuff get exposed to saltwater. (I surf and fish in the ocean a lot).

Long story short, I never got to see a window sticker for the SR and I really like to know details like what percentage of parts came from where. I'm kind of OCD about that stuff. But I didn't realize I never had the sticker until now like a year later.

Does anyone have an image of a Monroney Label for a 2022 SR Toyota? There are fascinating questions I can never get answers too. Like is the 2TR-FE assembled in Japan? Is the AC60E transmission assembled there? I've tried to research but all I can guess is the cast iron block of the 2TR-FE is cast in Indonesia but then they assemble the engine in Japan, then they ship the assembled engine to Mexico to one of the 2 Toyota factories to assemble the Tacoma. Or...is it just the Hino made rear axle/differential cast in Indonesia by Hino and the entire 2TR-FE engine is made in Japan?

What is also fascinating is that even the Denso alternators are made in new factories to Japanese standards (hopefully) but are in Mexico. But I think they claim 45% of the parts are from Japan but where can I look up which parts?

    Thanks for any help.
    Rick

Your local dealer can get you a copy. I did this for my 2015.

Thanks, I may have to do that. I don't want to spend 10 bucks on line to create one since I don't trust the online ones to create a true Manufacturer label. Even if I get it from my dealer, I think only the forum can maybe help answer specific questions about how the 2TR-FE is actually made.

Now you know why my wife bitches at me for parking one the west side of BFE every time we go somewhere. I’d rather walk than have to deal with idiots who cant put carts where they go.
