ha I doubt anyone thought that was real.. just funny that they reused an old press photo and photoshopped in a blurry tundra

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Lately it’s all about prices. As in the current market prices are a shit show due to trash ass dealers picking to make some extra bucks than building long relationships with customers. What ever the prices is, there will be some willing to pay. Remember prices are just an issue if you don’t have it. For me I am in the bucket of dudes with that issue lmao. Hopefully the truck does good. Get real there will be no v8’s or nothing crazy, let’s trust the engineers and hopefully the platform will allow for us to fuck with it and make it a little more fun and customizable. Cheers!

If you want to be off road competitive in the small pick up truck market you need a Front e locker and front sway bar disconnect such as the one that can be found on zr2, gladiator rubicon and ranger/bronco platform. Again, even without those what the aussies say applies. “If you want to go in to the bush go on a 4x4, if you want to return, go in a Toyota”

We could afford it, my 2022 is paid off, but I refuse to pay at these prices. I almost bought a 2022 Tundra but couldn’t justify a $58k truck and that was still the SR5.

I've been thinking about a new tundra; Limited with the off road package + pano sun roof was around 59k. I have faith the taco similarly equiped wont be that much, sure wouldn't make sense..

also would be awesome to have a panoramic sunroof on the 4th gen.. I think that would be the only mid size with that option

I was so pleased with my 2nd gen RC at the time I had no idea the 3rd gen was going to be released. I briefly recall hearing something about it before I saw the first one on the road.

That would be sweet. I wish they would put rolling down rear window that comes on the tundra and 4 runner in the 4th gen.

Dude I drive an 05 and don’t plan to buy a truck unless I hit the lotto. If my engine dies I will be swapping a K24 engine or a Electric engine.

It's honestly insane to me that people do this. Granted I've wasted a lot of money over the years on vehicles - but I've never had a payment over $600...and when the need would arise, I've put up to $17k down to keep my payments at an affordable rate where if one of us lost their job, we wouldn't be sweating too much.

In fact, our house is the same way - people at work often ask why we live where we live. But to me, having grown up poor, our house is more than I could ever need. The modest square footage is enough space that, quite honestly, none of the three of us are often even aware of the others' presence in the house. My son could have a sleepover with two friends in the middle of winter, and as long as I set up the basement room (that has a bathroom) properly we don't even know they're there either.

I will say that while our neighborhood isn't the *greatest* - the neighborhood up the road with 400-600k homes has all of the same issues that we have here. Kids being kids, drugs, whatever. I mean is any neighborhood ever the greatest? I don't know, but I feel fortunate to live in the neighborhood that I live in. I feel relatively safe and have some nice neighbors too. Just like I feel fortunate to have my truck.

I'll also say that there are dealerships that I will never step foot in again after seeing what they did with their prices during the pandemic. The local Ford dealer is one of them. But the local Chevrolet dealer is another...and I'm stubborn.

Well maybe the 4th gen will reveal an official water wading capacity like the Hilux? The Hilux has a Water Wading Capacity of 700mm (2.29 feet). So if you like to take your Taco swimming you have a base line. :D

That was a big factor for me when I selected my Tacoma. I weighed getting another midsize or even an F150. But the markups during COVID were insane - except at my local Toyota dealer that chose to keep everything at MSRP with no required add-ons.

I understand that restricted supply and high demand put pressure on prices and that the other dealers were just doing what they thought was best for the businesses. So I did what was best for me and worked with a seller who did the opposite, and now said Toyota dealer has a lifetime customer.

Gen4 speculative froth has rounded DEFCON 2. With expectations rising just short of this new truck both curing cancer while making us look more attractive, I have the world’s largest bowl of popcorn on standby for this reveal….I’m excited to see the, “What, it doesn’t magically levitate over boulders?? It’s trash!” commentary that I fondly recall after buying my ‘16.

While I have zero intention to trade in my Gen3 and its six cylinders (100% free of forced induction) until the EV police kick in my front door, I am dying to know one thing:

Will Toyota return the bed storage bin back that they stole from us.

They also stole the front rail.

And in all fairness the 3rd gen at first looked pretty odd and took some time to grow on everyone, myself included, but I was an early adopter and got my 16 in Sept of 2016. I will say there were some small issues, the transmission, howling rear diff, whistling control arms, rattling passenger speaker clip, etc. but still ended up buying my 17, 19, 20, and 22. I will say though being in the Tundra boards/forums/groups, Toyota mixed with the pandemic/supply shortages has definitely lost some quality and had more issues.
