That’s nice. Those were the best model Toyota pickups ever made for the US market, in my opinion.

I saw an '85 that looked like new also, but did not have all the stickers. It was a beautiful dark gray and sold for less than half that price. People are stupid to pay that much.

In 1989, I had the same body style when I turned 16. But, it was a 1987 model, so the front end wasn’t straightAxle.
Man, I put that truck though hell, and it went places no truck should have to go. Was a black extended cab, 4 cyl. had the same style wheels as the truck above, but all chrome. Had 31/10.50 BFG mud terrains. I put an Alpine stereo with Norman Lab speakers in it. I thought I was way cooler than I actually was. I sure wish I had that truck back. The only truck I actually miss, and wish I still had.
    Good times…..

This reminds me of when I was FJ40 shopping before they started appreciating. I just don’t think this one’s quite there yet. Nice clean example though!

I call bullshit. It has a TRD Sport stick, but it doesn't have a hood scoop. It has to be a fake.

Kinda.... best will be a 85, factory solid axle with a 22RE instead of the 22R.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I had the ‘85 with the 22RE. It was a beast of a trail rig. It had 35s and chrome alloy axles and would go anywhere I pointed it. I bought it for $800 and maybe had $2k in it all said and done. I loved coming up to the off-road parks with all the built rigs, and our driving the piss out of them! Glorious it was!!!

I had one of those! Sold me on Toyota trucks.
Actually, I had an '81 and an '87, not an '85.
I beat the shit out of both and they never failed! I took them places I would never take my stock Taco.
Front solid axle and leaf springs rule!!

Can we start a movement to make old Nissan pickups more desirable than Toyotas so these old Toyotas will go back down in price like old Nissans are right now? Please

the crazy pricing of old Toyota pickups/1st gen Tacomas has spread to the 3rd gen 4runners now and they are going for insane prices with 250k+ miles on them, ffs

feel lucky I got mine when I did earlier this year
