    G'day all,
I need some help. I recently traded my 2018 Tacoma TRD DCSB OR for a 2023 Tacoma TDR DCSB OR. When I purchased the 2018 I requested the dealership change the "Lane Changing Flashing Times setting" from 3 blinks to 7. The Tech Stream tech did that with out question and I had my truck back quickly.

Requested the same procedure be done to the 2023 and no one at the dealership know what I'm talking about. I called the second dealership in town and asked if they could preform the procedure, again, I was talking a foreign language.

I called Toyota in Texas, they admitted they had never heard the request before and could not help me.

So, I'm turning to the TW Colorado members to ask if anyone knows of a Colorado dealer who has done the for a 2023 Tacoma any would provide me the dealers name and location.

    thanks much in advance.

    Bob

is this a relay replacement situation or software toggle?

    Thanks Firn,
I will consider that; however, the option to change the "Lane Changing Flashing Time setting" from the Toyota default 3 blinks to 7 is suppose to be done by the dealer, so gonna elect to stand on principal for the time being and hope another member knows of a Colorado dealer who has made the change for an owner.

    Thanks again for your reply

I'll be asking the same when mine goes for its first service - 5 blinks from the too short 3, but that'll be some time away I suspect

Here's an up date. I found a Toyota pdf called Toyota Personalization; it appears to be a document that at least at one time, was given to a new owner of a Toyota to select the personalization setting they desired to be changed. There are 5 pages. The one my concern is with is "Lane Change Flashing Times Settings". The options given on the pdf are OFF 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
I called several dealers, they thought I was talking a foreign language; I called Toyota of Colorado Springs and talked to the service manage, Kevin Whitlock. He listened to my request , check with his Tech Stream guy, had me bring the truck in, and a total of an hour later I was driving home with 7 blinks for lane changes at no charge.
Thank you Kevin Whitlock of Toyota of Colorado Springs
