Ordered mine March 3 and don’t have a ship date yet. Doesn’t really answer your question but I thought it might give you an idea.

Thanks - that tells me I won't have them for the trip, most likely. I was hoping that the order times had shortened but, I'll just have to hope I don't get nailed on the trip.

Bad news…same alignment issue as @Mikro above, I’m just glad I saw that pic before and realized it’s a design flaw instead of pointlessly screwing with it for hours on end.
Pulled it back off and going to send Chris an email now 61F0ED86-0018-4EFA-8586-6FA78E0938F5.jpg

It's hard to say. My initial order was placed on 1/21 and I waited almost 7 weeks and it said 3-4 weeks on their site when I ordered. My replacement shield shipped within 3-4 days, so I don't know how they are prioritizing things. It could be that they are shipping closer to stated lead times at this point, so hopefully you won't have to wait as long as most of us.

Dang, that's unfortunate. Let's us know what he says... Mine should arrive on Monday, but think I'll wait until I hear what they are going to do. This has turned out to be quite a pain with this new info.

Do you have the 2wd by mistake or the newly updated 4x4? Any pics of the full shields?

No marking/indication on box, nothing inside to note 2wd or 4wd. Noticeably different in depth vs the V1, cleared the heat shield fine. If alignment was correct I think we’d have a winner!

Thanks for posting that! My replacements haven’t shipped yet. Maybe we can save them some time and money with an intervention. Looking forward to your and their response. TIA!

That's unfortunate. Maybe they got the 4R ones mixed up with the Tacoma as those don't look like the 2wd version. My new version are sitting at home. I was looking to install them tonight or tomorrow.

Fwiw Chris @CaliRaisedLed has been extremely helpful thus far and I’m sure whatever the issue is they’ll make it right.

    Very good to know.

Also sent them an email just now alerting them to the posts here and to let them know that they don't have to ship the replacements until things are sorted out.

According to the pictures on their website mine and his are the 2WD version.

    2WD

    4WD

Notice the orientation of the logo and also the security screw cutout is 1 big hole for the 2WD and 2 smaller holes for the 4WD

I did the website chat yesterday and sent an email this morning. Haven’t heard anything from them at all.

Yeah @Mikro the 2wd pics look very similar, or as @MTBTACORN mentioned it could be the 4Runner(pic below). Wife left in her 4Runner before I could get out and compare how these line up.34A35825-9648-4906-9F1F-88859881F65E.jpg

It looks like the 4WD images are of the original, v1, not the v2 shown in their new video. It appears that the v2 for the 4x4 has a single oblong opening for the support bolts like the 2WD version now. Maybe they just haven't updated their site?

A2EBB48D-F8AF-4CB1-B149-E2201DAC7D01.jpg Compare my current shields (pic above) with 4Runner model pictured in my prev post and I think we have a match. The two things I notice is alignment of the rear cross member attachment point, on the 2WD it’s offset but in the 4R it is not. That and the rear triangular cutouts look identical, slightly different than 2WD.
I may have figured it out!

Thanks for that, but I'm confused, can you elaborate a bit more? Do you think the replacements that aren't fitting the 4x4 V6 Tacos are actually for a 4Runner, 2WD or...?

@TRDRed i think my replacements are for a 4Runner and not a 4WD Tacoma or a 2WD tacoma for that matter. Comparing pics of all 3 models on the website vs what I have on hand I think that’s what I’ve been sent, a 4Runner set of shields.
