that's just plain unacceptable to me for anything that costs money instead of something i built myself out of random scrap steel i boogered together.

People whine and complain about a lot of ridiculous stuff on here but for once this actually seems warranted. Hopefully they make it right OP.

    So a quick update,
I have contacted and worked with CBI warranty about the Powder Coat issue on my bed rack and they are stepping up to help me resolve my issue. We discuss a few option and in the end I got a quote from a local Powder Coater here in Maine and CBI has agreed to pay for the majority of the cost to get it re powder coated. From my prospective I think that CBI has step up to right the wrong and they are trying to do right thing.

I don't have any pictures that I can find, but my CBI bedrack had corrosion and rust forming within a month. I ended up selling it and am waiting on a bed cap.

That edit was hilarious on 4/1.
Also I feel like local PC is the play, so common to hear people complain about the quality of work thats sent out.
Explore Overland, NY thats now defunct had my sliders with many spots of orange within a year. Having to use rust reformer spray was frustrating for sure

It would be nice to see a product like Linex offered. I had rocker guards on a Jeep start to rust, so I had them sand blasted and Linex sprayed on, which is almost forever!

I had my rear bumper Linex and it did last for a few years but I do have spots that have started rusting under the Linex.

Interesting. I also had an off road box trailer coated in Linex, it was too sand blasted beforehand. I sold it recently, and after 10 years, the Linex still looked great with zero rust. I suppose it's prep work.

Pre work is a must, and I'm sure all the wheeling I have done it wouldn't surprise me if there is either rock chips, scratch or something where the moisture got under the linex

Nope. Not even close. I have had my XOC trailer for over a year, full-time outside and my powder coating is holding up just fine.

You're kidding right? $1400 and 5 months old... hell to the no. Defective manufacturing 100%.

You know, if you're going to respond to someone...don't go nit-picking a single statement out of an entire post which takes things a bit out of context. My immediate statement afterward (same post) was in agreement that it shouldn't have failed as I've had spray paint jobs last longer.

After that statement, yes the rest was opinion.

I can infer, from our interactions, that you either have it out for me, or take things out of context in general. I wouldn't be surprised if you were borderline manipulative in person based on the way you read things and respond to them.

Good example is the credit situation on a cash paying customer. Go back and read where you intentionally skipped things I said and argued things that were actually in agreement with what I said.

You probably report my posts too

    What a joke.

My guy, you made several points and I quoted them individually to address them individually. I can see how you have gotten to 54k posts in less than 5 years. If you are going to be on a discussion forum you should be prepared for differing opinions. I addressed your personal comment in DMs.

Consider Line-X as recommended by several. I have a KB VooDoo steel tailgate cap on a 2nd generation. I gave up dealing with him about the powder coating and went to Line-X. Five years later, I am still pleased, no chips or rust - and no crushed tailgate.
