What are these spots on my paint?

    2011 Silver Tacoma Prerunner
    I have this white spots on parts of my hood and roof, but I have no idea what they are. In my very limited paint experience, they don't look like any common clear coat issues (crows feet, etc) but I don't know. The only other thing I could think of is stains from the tree I park under. Has anybody else seen this on their 2nd gens?

    The 2nd pic looks like the paint is flaking off. Have you ever put sealant or wax on your truck?

    Sometimes trees will drip sap when it gets warm.

    Find a mobile paint correction service in your area and see if they'll give you a free opinion. Nobody on the internet is going to give you a good answer because there's too many possibilities.

    Just saw this, posted the question and forgot about it. I thought about using a clay bar but I didn't want to damage it if it was in fact a clear coat issue.
