Agreed I spent over a year reading all those post and doing research while saving my pennies to get my wheels, tires and lift.

I'm more Mall Crawler than Rock Crawler, hence the 2/1" Bilstein 5100s. Bigger better shock than the OEM Off Road Bilsteins. They were fine, I just wanted 2" lift, nothing crazy.

    No spacer lift for me....

    The irony.

    Anyways, welcome.

I'll throw my hand in for the Bilstein 6112s and 5100/5160 for your use. Mild lift, GREAT road manners, better ride, and from what I have seen good off road.

Love my OME setup!!! it rides so much better on the road with the lift. I think this is how the Taco should have been from the factory. Even with E rated tires it handles the road with more confidence. No more understeer! Stays put in the lane- much easier on long drives. I'd do it again!

This is the perfect use case for a $100 spacer and block kit.

My point... I'm too tired to research it myself. Words scare me and I don't want to learn new ones. Please do the work for me. BTW I agree with your choice but only because, even tho I will not lift my Tacoma, I have many hours researching lifts for a Tacoma.

no need for fancy reservoirs or 2.5" body shocks. Eibach has a sale right now, the stage 1 sounds like something for you.

Some more food for thought, having E rated tires can have a negative impact to the ride from a lift too. Even if you get a plush kit, E rated tires will make it feel stiffer.

    So what?

Are you the post police? Plenty of long time members on here see the same repetitive questions and still manage to either give friendly advice or move to more interesting threads. Might want to try it sometime. You sure seem to love to run off newbies and low post count members. News flash… this is a forum supported by advertisers. My money is they prefer people asking questions and engaging with each other, over some bitter individuals ripping perfect strangers a new asshole.

Insulting the crowd you're asking for help is an interesting strategy.

Are you getting an extra truck in a year? This is confusing.

If you want super comfy and soft just call Accutune and have them valve some Fox or King for you.

Since you ask ... the 5100-series front/back which provide lift and what many find a better ride, all for for less money than full-swapout. That is what I have learned by sitting back and reading.

Asking another to tell you what you will enjoy most is ... sorry, but ... foolish. There is a post about replacing the stock wimpy headlamps. Long, many scientificky funky charts, but I learned enough to bump up the headlight power while spending less. Absolutely NOTHING will replace reading to see what people have written to at least "speak the language".

I may do the 5100-series for minimal cost improvement to the ride. But for now I will stick with front engine skid, transmission skid and cat converter covers. Enough money spent to confidently-enough hit not-too-difficult trails and decide how/when to spend on recovery-points, recovery bumpers, winches, ...

I know an expensive route to go but I love my TRD lift which in effect is 5100 all around. I do not off road but I love the ride , feels secure on highway at speed and soaks up local road imperfections. 2” lift looks awesome.

    Since when?

OP, TW sees your question hundreds of times a day, as you're well aware of being here for a few years. You should know that no one can answer your question without us asking you additional questions, and most don't care to take the time to be honest. So you'll get recommendations from everyone, justifying to get exactly what they got, just because.. nothing more, just because. So my advice to you, which has already been given; research. As much as I'd love to sell you on a $4k suspension set up, the limited info we have from you says you'll be completely happy with a $50 hockey puck. If thats offensive for some reason that you don't understand, thats your responsibility. We can gladly spend your money if you just want us to list options you can buy and bolt on. Doesn't mean it suits your purpose though.

I just simply asked when TW became a hub for ads. I haven't seen any, so either my cookies aint cookie'n or the site sucks at getting those ads in front of me. Genuinely curious if others are getting ads now.

Just looked up the 6112/5160, im still very new to all this. Looks like it comes with strut and spring and then rear shocks for a 2 inch lift. Do you need to add a block? or AAL? and also possibly do new UCA?
