    been a rough week. my oldest and DIL got scammed. thank goodness no money exchanged hands. her mom is a lawyer and basically took care of business. me,i was on the road trying to find them. actually passed them and in 1/10th of a second me and him made eye contact. taco sliding to a stop. him driving as fast as he could. long story short i lost them. only bad part the kids were spooked. DIL out of town. son just got back. he is 32 and called and asked if i would come stay the nite( he was a little spooked by them)walked in and him and our LEO bud were there. LEO bud said thats why i love your dad. I walked in with short barrel 12ga.. on my shoulder,glock on my side. 3 extra clips in my pocket,a pizza and 12pack.he said your ole man looks like he is going to a party. LOL. its all good. lets just say they got some pot holes in the driveway patched for free. LOL.Guess my redneck isnt fake.we took care of business and will never see them again. lucky for them

    it wont. both kids were out of town. DIL fell for the old scam,we were paving in the area and had a little left over. saw you had some pot holes. can patch for like $13 a square foot so we dont waste the asphalt,couple hundred bucks. she told them yes and her mom would cut them a check. they went there and wanted $9000. she said no,contact there lawyer. smartass said awll did little girl get mommy to call a lawyer! she slammed her name plate on her desk and said i am a lawyer dumbass. they got $0.00. they have no liscense and my wife is business liscense supervisor for the county.plus LEO called them to not contact kids again or would file harassment warrant. even though scam is civil not criminal

    are you using headphones? sometimes they have a separate mute button (on the cord?) and it wont show up as muted on teams and the mic button on teams won't override the mute button on the cord.

    If you haven’t got it yet, go over to Walmart or wherever and grab an external cam with built in mic, just in case. That way you’ll have a backup. You can always return it if the other one starts working for you.

    Similar situation many years ago when my Grandmother was alive. Paving company took half payment and then no-show. My brother and I, and one of our cousins found the guys in a bar and "convinced" them to do the whole job for what she had paid. :D Good times.
