We had a great time, so thanks. It was a little dicey getting out going west toward the road by Goblin Valley. Lots of drifted, soft sand. But it's always fun once you survive, eh?

Nate Harrison Grade Trail. Rated as "easy" and it was, but has become pretty rutted out from the recent storms. Several downed trees had been cleared from the trails and a good size rock slide. Still snow @ the top as you get to the top of Palomar Mt.

When were you there? I just spent 3 nights at various sites around the park and STILL feel like I missed a bunch! Agree with it being a new favorite.

I was there a week ago as part of a trip around Texas .Arrived just after they got some snow. That was an odd but beautiful sight so far south. Spent 3 full days and felt like we just scratched the surface. Could have easily spent more time there. Did many hikes and each one was different and unique. I put it up there with Yellowstone, Yosemite, Arches, etc. Has such a diverse geography from desert, to canyons , to mountains.

That was my take as well. I saw parts of other parks all in this one park! The one that sticks out to me right now:. There's a trail that leads to a balancing rock. Reminded me of Arches. Not just the rock itself, but everything around it!

A Tacoma in its natural environment. Wanted to ask what rack you are running over your soft topper? Thanks.

100% agree on Big Bend National Park. So much to see and so much diversity from the areas along the river, the Chihuahua Desert, the Chisos mountains. We have been going for 25 years and we are still awed with each visit..
