Hello there! I have 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport. Recently I upgraded crappy non-JBL deck with Alpine ILX-507 with Carplay, Maestro rr, Alpine KTP-445A amp which hooks up directly to the HU, along with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters for the dash.

After a week of enjoying music, I noticed Drivers speaker cutting off 5 minutes into the drive. It would sometimes come back on, until it completely stopped working. I also noticed that my driver's side dash tweeter stopped emitting sound as well. Assuming its the speakers fault, I ordered and installed new door speakers and dash tweeters. Same outcome, drivers door + dash tweeter inop. *****Yes, I tried the fade! Selecting Left/Front no sound!!!

While removing the presumed bad speaker, I noticed that it was wet (magnet sticker pealing off and feels damp inside it). Though not sure how, it is possible that it got water damaged. That being said there may have been a short in the circuit. I checked continuity of the connector on the door speaker side and there were no short on it.

Next plan of action, disconnect the KTP-445A amp from back of HU and connect harness directly to HU to see if the amp is fried. The other speakers work just fine.

    Please help with other ideas!!

I'd be worried about where that water came from.

Also, depending on how you wired everything, check your wiring.

everything is plug and play. Deck---ktp-445---maestro rr---factory harness (trucks wiring) Did not mess with anything after install. It worked for about a week. Also, checked fuses, all 3 are good.
