Anything over 3” gets a bit more involved. All depends on how much you want to chop and sacrifice

More than 2” if you daily drive and are conservative and have restricted budget. Then wait until oem tires get bald and then you buy nice tires…

Jk, it depends what you want and what’s the budget. There’s about 1500 threads a week pertaining that same question. Highly encourage you to use Google and type what you’re looking for followed by tacomaworld you will get discussions and photos and so on and so on.

6 in lift. That’s excessive. But do what you want.

I agree to what was mentioned before, keep it between 2 to 3 inches and that should be more than enough for a daily driver. If you want to climb big rocks out in the dessert then your cost may quadruple in price but a lot of fun in the open.

The guys who truly go off-road don't lift, they find a way to fit big tires with stock height. A lift raises the center of gravity which means things turn over easy. Look at all the true off roaders. Low to the ground with big tires.

A larger diameter tire also raises the overall center of gravity. More so technically, since the unsprung components also move.

This photo shows the correct amount of lift and correct amount of wheel offset. Anything else is too little.

Nice lift with almost everything underneath has been modified. Truly a work of art. Is this for you? You decide.

Depends on how far south you live. The further south you go, the higher your lift needs to be.
